Founded in 2019, the Workshop at 219 is a studio space in Historic Downtown Clifton, Texas dedicated to promoting creativity through art lessons, art events, open studio time, featured artist workshops, and camps. Our resident artist and community of local artists work side-by-side with students in a friendly environment.
Each of our artists has experience in the studio and in the classroom – meaning you get teachers with great art technique and great teaching technique too. Studio rentals are also available upon request with prior reservation. Please contact us to learn more about our offerings.”

Megan Major is the Resident Artist, Instructor and local artist in Clifton, Texas. She specializes in oil painting, acrylic, graphite, penmanship, and hand-built pottery. In addition to fine art, she has painted many murals in Central Texas and produces the Uff Da Trolls seen around Clifton. Megan owns and operates Workshop at 219 and 219 Artisan Market in Historic Downtown Clifton. She teaches art for all ages, from beginning to advanced. And with her network of local artists, if she can’t teach it, she can find someone who can.
Megan grew up in Clifton and then attended Texas A&M University. She holds a professional degree in Landscape Architecture. After working in the field for eight years, she returned to Clifton to settle down and pursue a career in art.
