Freedom Music Services is locally owned and operated in Valley Mills by Charlie Stevenson. For parents of band members or local musicians themselve in need of a tune up, he covers multiple instruments, from brass to percussion and woodwinds.
After many years of teaching, Charlie noticed every year there were students that wanted to be in band, but couldn’t afford an instrument.
Initially, he would find older used instruments that still had some potential life in them and would recondition and restore the instruments making them affordable for students and parents at a fraction of the cost of a new instrument.
In 2013, Freedom Music Services was created to serve all band students, parents, musicians and band directors in their musical endeavors and give them the freedom to choose a quality instrument to meet their needs. Charlie provides care packages for musical instruments (and by proxy, musicians).
Freedom Music Services offers rent-to-own instrument plans, repair, and of course, new instruments including name brands like King, Buffet, Yamaha, Bach, Gemeinhardt, Jupiter, Ludwig, Musser, Conn-Selmer. Band accessories are also available.
