First and foremost, I would like to sincerely thank my supporters for the trust and credibility you have found in me as a candidate. I want to inform you that I have decided to withdraw from the city council race.

If you know me, you know that I do not make these decisions lightly or without prayer, and spiritual guidance. I believe my credentials and experiences in government qualify me to continue, but my heart is set on giving 100% to my students and the wonderful band program they are building. If you want to see progress and change, look at the programs that are being built by the next generation of community leaders.

There are greater things in our city than generational issues that have yet to be resolved. Our kids will one day lead if we equip them with the tools to make sound decisions, and pursue righteousness. This is what I ultimately want to focus on. I know I will be judged on my decision, that is fair. I know what God has called me to do. There are no regrets.

To the candidates continuing the race, Godspeed, and do what is best for the city. Greater days are yet to come!

Sincerely,

Daniel Yguerabide
